CHANGE BEGINS WITH OUR THOUGHTS AND IS SEEN IN OUR ACTIONS

We all know that one of the things not to talk about whilst eating is money!  So we thought we’d do a workshop on both…

Just as bad food can have a long-term negative effect (some Oriental foods can be experienced almost immediately…), so too can bad perceptions about our finances cause long-term stress and limitations.  Too many rich foods can leave us feeling sluggish, stressed out and unhealthy.  Too many rich purchases can leave us feeling exactly the same!

Although we’ll be running two workshops this month on giving yourself a financial detox, this principle is something that will always be applicable.

In the same way that a bodily detox begins with an assessment of who you are, what your body needs and doesn’t and then selecting the things that need to go, a financial detox looks at your needs, wants and dreams and why you aren’t able to live them right now.  What unhealthy financial beliefs do you have and what needs to go?

Some people feel that how they spend their money defines who they are.  This is true to an extent, but it is only true if that is one of your beliefs about your money.  This is an example of a bad money belief.  Instead of thinking that my purchases define who I am, I should be thinking ‘Who I am will determine what (and who!) I invest in.’

By switching the focus around we are empowered to decide, and track, where our money is going and how our finances can enable us to live in abundance!

We are so excited to be working with Rolene of RAWlean on this essential workshop! You can view the event details on our events page on Facebook. If you’d like to register for one of our Body and Financial Detox workshops (there’ll be two this month), then fill out this online form and we’ll send you more details.
